The third question. Fatwa number ( 15631 )
Q3: A man woke up during the dawn prayer and found himself in a state of major ritual impurity and unable to perform the full ritual bath . What should he do?
A3 : If a man wakes up at dawn and finds himself in a state of major ritual impurity, it is obligatory for him to perform the full ritual bath in order to perform the prayer. As for fasting, it is permissible for him to fast while in a state of major ritual impurity; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would wake up in a state of major ritual impurity, then perform the full ritual bath and fast, without making up the fast. Wet dreams do not invalidate the fast if they occur during the day; because they are not by the person's choice. The full ritual bath is only required if semen is emitted. If he is in a place
where there is no water, or if there is water but he is unable to use it due to illness, he should perform dry ablution with clean earth and pray; based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:[An-Nisa 4:43] . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

فَلَمْ تَجِدُوا مَاءً فَتَيَمَّمُوا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ
