A man wakes up in a state of major ritual impurity, and if he performs the full ritual bath, the time for prayer has passed; what should he do?

The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 8502 )
Q4: A man woke up from sleep in a state of major ritual impurity, and there was very little time left before the sunrise—meaning: the time was not sufficient for him to perform the full ritual bath and the Fajr prayer—so what must he do?
A4: He should perform the full ritual bath for major ritual impurity, even if the sun has risen, and then pray Fajr; because the prayer is not valid without ritual purity, and because he is commanded to do so when he wakes up from sleep; due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Whoever sleeps through a prayer or forgets it, let him pray it when he remembers it. There is no expiation for it except that.من نام عن صلاة أو نسيها فليصلها إذا ذكرها، لا كفارة لها إلا ذلك
, and his command (peace and blessings be upon him) to the one who wakes up from sleep and remembers after forgetting to pray—commanding him to pray
and to perform the ritual purity required for it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
