Cutting a verse while reading to take a breath
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q 2: In some cases, a verse is long. Is it permissible to cut it off by taking a breath, whether in prayer or otherwise, or when memorizing?
A 2 : There is no harm in cutting off a verse when reading the Qur'an in order to take a breath out of necessity, whether that is in prayer or otherwise. However, if stopping or beginning to read after stopping results in not completing the meaning or disrupting it, then it is better for him to repeat from the verse whatever completes the meaning. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
