Maintaining the Qur'an and increasing its recitation

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 16855 )
Q 3: I have memorized some of the surahs of the Noble Qur'an, but after some time passed and I became preoccupied, I forgot some of the surahs. I try very hard not to forget, but to no avail. I have also come across a hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
The greatest of the sins of my Ummah is forgetting the Qur'anأكبر ذنوب أمتي نسي القرآن
. And one of the scholars said: Whoever memorizes a surah from the Qur'an or a verse and forgets it, that is the greatest of the major sins. What is the authenticity of the mentioned hadith, and am I excused or not?

A 3 : The hadith mentioned in the question, which warns against one who forgets the Qur'an or part of it, we do not know its authenticity from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). However, one should maintain the Qur'an and increase its recitation; due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) encouragement of it and exhortation to it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
