Replacing clay bricks used in graveyards with cement blocks

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 17912 )
Q: The municipality intends to replace the clay bricks used in graveyards with cement blocks ; this is because the clay bricks are affected by rain and sun, and they deteriorate and lose their usefulness when carried due to their weight, whereas cement will be more beneficial and useful; therefore, we hope you will inform us about the permissibility of using cement instead of clay?
A : It is preferable to stick to using clay bricks in graves; because that is what the practice of the Muslims was, and they disliked bricks that had been fired. So it is preferable to continue using clay bricks and not replace them with cement. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
