Collecting the goods sold and placing them in bags bearing the logo of a good factory

Fatwa number ( 12596 )
Q: In the year 97 AH, I had a Mercedes truck, and I was transporting cement from Dammam to Riyadh . I would buy the bag from Dammam for 13 riyals and sell it in Riyadh for 17 riyals. On some days, people were selling cement outside the port of Dammam . This cement was from the bags of trains and ships that they threw outside the port, and there were
people who were filling this cement into Japanese cement bags with a fan logo, because the fan brand is considered the best type of cement. I bought from them three loads for the truck at a price of ten riyals (10) per bag, and I sold it in Riyadh for 17, seventeen riyals, like the good cement. Three men in the city of Riyadh bought from me, each one 350 bags. And if they asked me: Is it good cement or not? I would say: As you see with your own eyes. And the buyer, if he saw the bag was of the premium type, he would buy it. And I did not know whether the cement was sound or unsound. Now I do not know the location of the people I sold this cement to, and I was in a state of confusion regarding my affair. I ask for guidance on what I should do to clear my conscience of what happened. And when I sold it, I was not ignorant that it was deception, but other truck drivers happened to be with me and they caught up with me in this act. They said: We will sell it, and you remain silent at the time of sale. And if the customer who buys comes, I would say: This is filled. They said: By Allah, you did not speak; we are selling it for you. May Allah protect you and rectify your deeds.

A: It is obligatory for you to give in charity the amount you took as an increase over the purchase price, which is seven riyals for each bag, by spending it in the causes of righteousness: such as the poor, the Afghan mujahideen, repairing the restrooms around the mosques, and the like, along with repentance and seeking forgiveness from Allah for that. May Allah guide you and me to sincere repentance.
