Fatwa number ( 14172 )
Q: I am a student, and my exams are confined between the hours of four and seven. During this period, the time for the Maghrib prayer enters, as the prayer time is around four-thirty,
and the time for the 'Isha' prayer is around five-fifty. Consequently, the Maghrib prayer is missed if I remain in the exam. Is it permissible in this case to delay the Maghrib prayer until 'Isha' and combine them ? We ask for advice, for religion is advice.
A: It is obligatory for you to perform the Maghrib prayer in its time; because of the saying of Allah the Exalted:[An-Nisa 4:103] And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
