Overwhelming sleep at Fajr due to illness

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 19528 )
Q 1: I am sick, and my illness is in the spinal column. Due to the doctors' inability in the country to determine my condition, one says there is pus in the spinal column, and at other times they say there is a gap between the vertebrae of the spinal column, and so on, so the exact nature of the illness has not been clarified. The point is that I used to pray the Fajr prayer at its time, but after my marriage for a period, I would go to bed until the time for the Fajr prayer came. My wife would get up to pray and try to wake me from sleep to pray, but she could not, and I was not aware of it. When morning comes, I say to my wife: Why did you not wake me for prayer? She says: By Allah, I did wake you until you sat up, but when you sat up, you were out of your mind or in a daze, and so on. I am unable to get up for prayer,
and I have been in a state where I do not pray Fajr at its time
, and I pray it at the time of the Duha prayer. What is the ruling on this prayer, and what is obligatory upon me? Please give us a ruling, may Allah reward you with a thousand good things.

A 1: If you are truthful in what you have mentioned, then you owe nothing; because of the saying of Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[At-Taghabun 64:16]
But it is obligatory upon you to treat this matter by going to bed early, not staying up late, and finding something that helps you get up at the time of prayer, such as an alarm clock or the like, and instructing your wife to be diligent in waking you at the time of prayer, along with asking Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, and supplicating to Him to help you perform the prayer at its time with the congregation and to remove the harm from you; because He, Glorified is He, said:
Call upon Me; I will respond to you.ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ
[Ghafir 40:60]
and He said:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way outوَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا
[At-Talaq 65:2]
And He, Glorified is He, said:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ يُسْرًا
[At-Talaq 65:4]
May Allah make your affairs easy and bestow health upon you. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
