Making up the amount for the months from which you did not pay anything of the vow

Fatwa number ( 18636 )
Q: I vowed that if I got a job, I would pay an amount of (600) riyals as a sponsorship for an orphan on behalf of my father and mother, every month. After that, I sponsored one orphan for a year and a half at a rate of (2400) annually. Then I stopped due to financial circumstances. Now, after my break and my intention to sponsor an orphan again according to the accumulated amount, I found it to be (25000) riyals. So my question to your eminence: What must I do? Guide us, may Allah reward you with good.
A : It is obligatory for you to fulfill your vow; because it is a vow of obedience, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih al-Bukhari 6696 . And you must make up the amount for the months from which you did not pay anything; because it is obligatory upon you by the vow. May Allah accept from you and replace it with something greater and more beneficial. And Allah the Exalted said: [Saba 34:39] , and we advise you in the future not to make vows; because of the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Mishkat al-Masabih 3426 agreed upon as authentic.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.

Whoever vows that he will be obedient to Allah, should remain obedient to Him
من نذر أن يطيع الله فليطعهBut whatever thing you spend [in His cause] - He will compensate it; and He is the best of providers."
وَمَا أَنْفَقْتُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَهُوَ يُخْلِفُهُ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَDo not make vows, for a vow has no effect against fate; it is only from the miserly that it is a means by which something is extracted.
لا تنذروا؛ فإن النذر لا يرد من قدر الله شيئًا، وإنما يستخرج به من البخيلAnd success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
