Tha'labah (may Allah be pleased with him) and what is attributed to him regarding zakah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q2: It is mentioned in (Tafsir al-Tabari ) about Ibn Abbas : that Tha'labah exists. And some of the brothers told me that he does not exist; the researcher al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar denied it. Is it from the fabricated stories or does it exist, knowing that they used to call him the Pigeon of the Mosque, and he was from the Ansar. What is the correct position in that?
A2 : What is reported regarding the reason for the revelation of the verse of Allah the Exalted:
And among them are those who made a covenant with Allahوَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ عَاهَدَ اللَّهَ لَئِنْ آتَانَا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ
[At-Tawbah 9:75]
, namely that it was: Tha'labah ibn Hatib - its chain of narration is not authentic. And Tha'labah ibn Hatib was an Ansari, counted among the Badriyyun, and he was martyred on the day of Uhud , as a group of scholars have verified, among them al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
