The first question of Fatwa number ( 18281 )
Q1: What is the ruling on one who takes the means but does not rely on Allah the Exalted and Glorified, and the ruling on one who relies on Allah the Exalted and Glorified but does not take the means?
A1 : It is obligatory for the Muslim to rely on Allah while taking the beneficial means, and it is not permissible to leave the means on the pretext of relying on Allah; because there is no contradiction between them, and because Allah has prescribed taking the means along with reliance on Him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
