The second and third questions from Fatwa No. ( 17375 )
Q 2: What is the ruling on slaughtering a sacrificial animal for a guest, given that Allah says:[Al-Ma'idah 5:3] .
A 2 : There is nothing wrong with the guest’s sacrificial animal if the name of Allah the Exalted is mentioned over it, and your assumption that it is for other than Allah is incorrect; because the one who slaughters it does not intend by that to shed the blood as a means of drawing near to that man, but rather he slaughters it while mentioning the name of
Allah over it; to feed his guest from it, so it is like your sacrificial animal for feeding your family.
