If a disbeliever is a relative, should one participate in his celebrations?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 20188 )
Q: My question concerns the marriage of my father-in-law (my husband's brother), who is a Zoroastrian. Are we obligated to travel with him so that his marriage contract with his fiancée can be finalized? And should we assist him financially, for example, given that my husband is a Muslim in person only, while I am a Muslim by origin? What are the Shari'ah limits in dealing with a disbeliever who is a relative like these relatives of my husband?
A: It is not permissible for a Muslim to show loyalty to a disbeliever, and this includes attending his private celebrations and traveling with him for that purpose; because their celebrations, such as weddings and others, are accompanied by some of their disbelieving rituals. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
