'Arafah and six days of Shawwal suffice for the fast of expiation

Fatwa number ( 10812 )
Q: Does fasting six days of Shawwal, the day of 'Ashura, and the day of 'Arafah
suffice for oaths, when a person is unable to count them?
A: The expiation for oaths is: freeing a believing slave, or feeding ten poor people, or clothing them. If you do not find any of that, then fast three days for every oath. As for your inability to count the oaths, it is obligatory for you to strive to count them approximately, then make expiation for those in which you broke the oath, and that will suffice you, if Allah wills. Fasting the day of 'Ashura, 'Arafah, and six days of Shawwal does not suffice for the expiation of an oath unless you intend by fasting them that it is for the expiation, not voluntary. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
