He vowed to his wife that if she told him what he suspected about her, he would not divorce her, but she told him and then he divorced her

The second question of Fatwa No. ( 14358 )
Q2: I consummated the marriage with a wife of mine and suspected that she was not a virgin, so I asked her to tell me the truth, and I gave her a pledge by the Book of Allah that if she told me the truth, I would not divorce her no matter what the truth was. She confessed that a man had raped her before me, so I was disgusted by her and could no longer bear to live with her. I divorced her despite the pledge I had given her, and Allah provided her with a husband other than me. What is required of me regarding this pledge?
A2: First: You owe an expiation for an oath, which is feeding ten poor people from
the middle of what you feed your family, or clothing them, or freeing a believing slave. If you cannot do that, then you fast for three days. Second: You should have kept her secret as Allah covers it, and not dug into what passed after you married her, or divorced her without forcing her to mention what passed. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
