Working with a partner in a song recording shop

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 12503 )
Q:I have a music recording shop, and I had a partner with me. After it became clear to me that the recordings are forbidden, we valued the shop and its contents at forty thousand riyals.and I gave my partner his share, which was twenty thousand riyals, so that I could close this shop and destroy its contents. One of my brothers asked one of the scholars, and he issued a ruling that it is better to sell this shop and give its value in charity than to destroy this money. After this ruling, I became confused: should I sell it, destroy it, or convert it to Islamic recordings? This would require an amount of twenty thousand riyals, which is a costly sum for me, as I am a prisoner. His Eminence the Shaykh, the General President of the Departments of Scientific Research and Ifta: I hope for a ruling on this question through an official channel: should I sell it with its contents and give this amount in charity, or should I destroy the tapes and sell the equipment—since it is expensive—to stereo music shops, and also sell the decor to someone who uses it for stereo?
Knowing that the stereo recording equipment is not used except for stereo music, please issue a fatwa on this, may Allah reward you.

A : Your knowledge of the ruling on the work you are engaged in is a blessing from Allah upon you, and you must thank Allah, Mighty and Majestic, for it. As for the recording shop, it is obligatory to convert it into an Islamic recording shop. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
