His father died while he was young, and he was not pleased with him, then he regretted his conduct toward him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 8506 )
Q 3: A man died leaving behind a young son, and the father was not pleased with him. The son grew up and matured, and he proceeded on the path of truth and religion. He regretted deeply the death of his father while the father was not pleased with him. If he goes ahead and donates a Hajj on behalf of his father, will Allah forgive him for that action?
A 3: The person mentioned must repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness for the shortcoming in the rights of his father that caused His displeasure with him. He should frequently seek forgiveness for his father, make supplication for him, and give charity on his behalf. If he performs Hajj or 'Umrah on his behalf, that is good.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
