Kindness to one's mother in matters other than disobedience

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 8214 )
Q: I married two women and divorced them; because of my mother, she would get upset with my wife and then tell me: divorce her, and I would divorce her. Now I have no wife, and every time I propose to someone, she is not pleased. Is it permissible for me to marry without her consent and live in a house by myself? I have five brothers living with my mother in the house.
A : It is obligatory for you to be dutiful to your parents and to be kind to them, especially your mother. If you are unable to remain in the house with your mother after marriage, there is no harm in you going out to a house by yourself, provided you observe dutifulness to your mother, check on her condition, and maintain ties with her to the extent of your ability.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
