His father works in image-making and asks for his help

Fatwa number ( 10469 )
Q: My father—may Allah guide him—works in the profession of image-making, and the Hajj season is a source of income for him, as he draws pictures of the pilgrim and Makkah and al-Madinah and other such foolish things. However, he is very old, having reached approximately 78 years of age, and I have no male siblings other than myself. He supports us from this work, and I am a student at the Faculty of Islamic Studies at the University of Cairo, and we live in Upper Egypt - the Upper Egypt region - and we make a living from this work and other limited white-collar jobs. In his old age, he pleads with me to help him in his profession, and he tells me: "Do not draw anything with a soul, do something else, and have mercy on my weakness and my advanced age." And I cannot bear to
have a created being seek intercession through another created being, especially when that person is an elderly man who tells me: "Do not do it, but just connect my equipment for me." I do not know, our Shaykh, what the solution is. Is there any sin upon me if I help him with some work that does not involve a soul? Or should I leave him to this old age whose weakness I cannot bear? Please give us a ruling, may you be rewarded, and elaborate on the answer. May Allah reward you with good.

A : It is not permissible for you to assist your father in doing something forbidden, whether it is the ultimate goal or a means to it, because of the cooperation in sin and transgression involved in it. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, has forbidden this and said:
And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression.وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَلاَ تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:2]
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
