Q: We inform your eminence that we have been suffering from a problem for some time, which is: we have lost money in several places in the house, and we did not stop at that, but the matter reached the loss of gold jewelry, knowing that we live in a house
consisting of three floors, I and my sons and their families, and there is no stranger with us and we have no suspicion of anyone present in the house, and when we asked some of those who have experience in this field, some of them say: that there is a jinn, and some of them say: it is from among you and within you, and he cannot clarify the name of the doer, this with the note that everyone in the house is among those who fear Allah and are afraid of Him and perform the obligatory acts in the correct manner, and they do not harm anyone or commit forbidden acts, and due to the multitude of problems we face, the closest problem that occurred was a week ago, when one of the sons brought an amount of (ten thousand riyals) and it was not more than two or three hours at most before going to the bank with it, but he was surprised to find that four thousand riyals were missing from the original amount, despite the entire amount being in his bag, and in the blessed month of Ramadan, an amount of (1000) riyals was placed, and the owner of the amount went out to perform the tarawih prayer, despite his reciting Ayat al-Kursi over the money, and some of the recommended verses, but he returned and did not find the amount, despite there being no one in the house. This is the least of the problems we face in the repeated loss of money and gold, so we ask your permissibility to inform us and issue a ruling on our matter which has become a nuisance to us, and we have become keeping our money and jewelry in one of our sons' houses near my house or in the bank,
so we are unable to keep even the smallest amount in the house, knowing your excellence that a person cannot do without having even a small amount for daily needs. Inform us of a solution to our problem, may Allah reward you and reward us with the best reward
A:If it is established that what is taken from you was not done by any human being, whether the residents of the house or anyone else, then it is, by Allah, most likely the work of the devils of the jinn; for such things happen from them often, with the permission of Allah. And there is what indicates this in the Qur'an and the Sunnah. The Exalted said regarding His Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him):[An-Naml 27:38-39] the verse, and it is established fromAbu Hurayrah(may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: Al-Bukhari narrated ital-Bukharias a suspended hadith in the form of a statement of certainty. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

And there is what indicates this in the Qur'an and the Sunnah. The Exalted said regarding His Prophet Sulayman (peace be upon him):
(38) [Solomon] said, "O assembly [of jinn], which of you will bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?" (39) A powerful one from among the jinn said, "I will bring it to you before you rise from your place
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entrusted me with the guarding of the zakat of Ramadan, so a visitor came to me and began to scoop up the food, so I seized him and said: "I will surely take you to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." He said: "Let me go, for I am in need, and I have dependents, and I have a severe need." He said: "So I let him go, and I spent the night, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'O Abu Hurayrah, what did your prisoner do last night?' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, he complained of severe need and dependents, so I had mercy on him and let him go.' He said: 'But he has lied to you and he will return.' So I knew that he would return because of the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he would return, so I lay in wait for him, and he came scooping up the food, so I seized him and said: 'I will surely take you to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).' He said: 'Let me go, for I am in need, and I have dependents, and I will not return.' So I had mercy on him and let him go, and I spent the night, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: 'O Abu Hurayrah, what did your prisoner do last night?' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, he complained of need and dependents, so I had mercy on him and let him go.' He said: 'But he has lied to you and he will return.' So I lay in wait for him the third time, and he came scooping up the food, so I seized him and said: 'I will surely take you to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and this is the third time, you claim that you will not return, yet you return.' He said: 'Let me teach you words by which Allah will benefit you.' I said: 'What are they?' He said: 'When you go to your bed, recite Ayat al-Kursi: Allahu la ilaha illa huwa al-Hayy al-Qayyum, until you finish the verse. And he said to me: 'A guardian from Allah will remain over you, and no shaytan will approach you until you rise.' - And they were the most eager for good - so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'But he has told you the truth, and he is a liar. Do you know whom you were speaking to for three nights, O Abu Hurayrah?' I said: 'No.' He said: 'That was a shaytan.'
