Q5: What is the Shaykh's advice to me, may Allah preserve him?
A5 : We advise you to fear Allah the Exalted in secret and in public, to hold fast to the Book and the Sunnah, and to recite the Noble Qur'an frequently with reflection and comprehension. You should strive to gain knowledge of your religion through reliable scholars and to study the books of the righteous Salaf that explain the Book of Allah the Exalted and the Sunnah of His Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), such as the books of the Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah , his student Ibn al-Qayyim , and the Shaykh Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab and his sons; for example, the book (Fath al-Mujid) and (Taysir al-'Aziz al-Hamid), both of which are commentaries on (Kitab al-Tawhid) by the Shaykh Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab . We also advise you to beware of religious innovations, illusions, and whispers, and to ask Allah the Exalted for well-being in your religion and your worldly life. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
