My wife and his wife are sisters, and we are a family consisting of the father, the mother, and an older brother of ours, but they are in the south while we are in Riyadh, so may Allah reward you with good: What should I do about this one who does not pray? I am distressed by this situation, and I have
advised him and read to him from books, and I built a library and placed religious tapes in the house, on the basis that he would look at them and Allah would guide him, but to no avail. Therefore, please inform me what I should do? And I cannot live in a house alone in Riyadh while he is in a house, because the father would be upset with me, so what should I do? Please advise us, may Allah reward you, and may Allah reward you with good.
A : It is good to advise him again, and to seek the help of relatives and neighbors, perhaps Allah will guide him. If he persists and refuses to perform the prayer, then seek help from Allah and live alone; in obedience to Allah, and do not fear your father's anger; for there is no obedience to a created being in disobedience to the Creator. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
