Photographing camels in order to display their images to customers so that they may be sold

Fatwa number ( 15388 )
Q: I have camels, and I am in the desert, and they are good camels, and I wish to sell them,
and I mentioned them to some merchants, and they asked me to photograph them, since they are unable to come to the camels, as they are far from them. So should I photograph them and show them to the merchants? Knowing that I do not intend anything forbidden, but I want, perhaps, that they may be suitable for them, since if the images are suitable for them, they will buy them for what I want.
A: It is not permissible to photograph animals or anything that has a soul; because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the image-makers, and informed that they are in the Fire, and that they are the most severely punished of people on the Day of Resurrection. Photographing the camels for the purpose you mentioned is not permissible; due to the generality of the prohibition of image-making. This is not one of the cases of dire necessity; because the one who wants to buy them, if he is unable to see them, can appoint someone to see them, or have them brought to him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
