Oath to kill one's child

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 1144 )
Q 2: I swore an oath regarding my son: (By Allah, I will kill you). What is the expiation
for this oath?

A 2: Swearing to commit a sin, such as killing without right, is forbidden. The one who swears to do so must seek forgiveness from Allah, repent to Him, and not do what he swore to do. He must expiate his oath by feeding ten poor people from the mid-grade of what he feeds his family, giving each poor person half a sa' (a dry measure of about 3 kg) of the staple food of the people of the land, such as dates or otherwise, or by clothing ten poor people, or by freeing a believing slave. If he cannot do so, let him fast for three days, and it is better if they are consecutive. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
