Q: What is the ruling on one who had intercourse with his wife while she was pregnant in the ninth month, and as a result she miscarried with a fetus that had injuries caused by the intercourse, and it died as a consequence? Is there any sin on me for this?
A: If the matter is as described, then you are obligated to pay the blood money (diyah) and the expiation (kaffarah). As for the wife, there is no expiation on her because she was coerced. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
