She hung her child (in the cradle) to protect him from the boys, so he slipped out and hung until he died

Fatwa number ( 18270 )
Q: I have a wife and she has a small son. One day, she placed him in the cradle, which is called the "handul," but it is made of leather. She hung it away from his brothers so that they would not harm him. She went to work in her house and with her sheep. When she returned to him, she found that he had slipped out from the bottom of that cradle and remained hanging by his neck in the ropes of the cradle, which caused his immediate death . My question is: Is there a sin on the mother of this child? Please inform me about this, and may Allah reward you with good and reward.
A: If what she placed him in does not protect him from falling, then she is considered negligent and is obligated to perform expiation, which is freeing a believing slave. If she is unable to do so, then she must fast for two consecutive months. If what she placed him in is a secure place that usually protects him from falling, then she owes nothing.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
