Q3: Indeed,my paternal uncle, my father's brother and my wife's father, passed away recently, and my aunt has entered the period of mourning (hiddah). Is it permissible for me to sit and talk with her,or is it forbidden for me to do so? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A3: If by your aunt you mean your husband’s mother, there is no blame on her in speaking to you and sitting with you, because you are one of her mahrams (relatives one may not marry). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
