Fatwa number ( 15675 )
Q: I am a woman. My mother married another man after my father’s death, and I was about a year and a half old. I had already been weaned. Then my mother gave birth to a son from this man. Later, my mother’s husband married another woman who bore him daughters. Is it permissible for me to marry my son to one of these daughters? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A: If the matter is as you described, it is permissible for your son to marry one of the daughters of your mother’s husband from his second wife; because she is not among the prohibited relatives in marriage. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
