The maternal grandfather’s brother is a mahram to his granddaughters

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 11566 )
Q: Is it permissible for my brothers to confront my maternal grandfather’s brother, since he is considered in the position of a maternal uncle? I ask you to inform me about this question. May Allah guide you and keep your steps firm; He is the All-Hearing, the Responsive.
A: The maternal grandfather’s brother is a maternal uncle to his granddaughters, and to the granddaughters of his granddaughters, no matter how far down the line they are. He is one of their mahrams, so it is permissible for your sisters to uncover their presence in front of him. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
