The third question of Fatwa No. ( 11045 )
Q3: Is it permissible for a man who is in a state of ihram to contract a marriage for himself?
A3: It is permissible for a man to contract a marriage for himself. For example, if the woman’s guardian says to the man, “I have married you to my so-and-so daughter,” and the man says, “I accept,” the contract is valid if it is done in the presence of two just witnesses. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
