The ruling on a man marrying despite his father's objection

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 10853 )
Q: I want to marry a woman who possesses good character and beautiful morals, and she is studying in a secondary school, and she has good knowledge of the rulings and issues of the pure religion. My respected father forbids me from marrying that woman, and the reason for that is that her father is a police officer (a captain) and he suspects that he eats from haram wealth according to my father's opinion, and in reality he has no knowledge of that. My father forces me to marry another woman, even though I do not agree to that woman absolutely. The question is: Is it permissible for me to marry that woman whom I am pleased with and whose family is pleased with me, or must I marry that second woman whom my father forces me to marry, whom I do not agree to, knowing that one of the conditions of marriage is the consent of both parties: (the man
and the woman), and also, if I marry that woman whom I do not agree to, divorce may occur; because I do not agree to her absolutely? And is the consent of the man's father one of the conditions of marriage? Knowing that the consent of the woman's father is one of the conditions of marriage, meaning (the guardian), and he is pleased. Please inform us, may Allah reward you, and may you remain safe in the service of Islam and Muslims.

A: If the matter is as mentioned, it is permissible for you to marry the one you desire to marry, if she is pleasing in her religion and her trustworthiness. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
