Dissolving the engagement if the suitor is not satisfactory in character and religion

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 8445 )
Q5: If I break off my engagement after it has lasted a full year, is that injustice to him, and will Allah take revenge on me? The reason for dissolving the engagement is that he was not convinced by certain matters of the religion.
A5: There is no blame on you for dissolving the engagement if the suitor is not satisfactory in character and religion, or similar matters.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
