A man shaking hands with his fiancée

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The third question of Fatwa No. ( 16342 )
Q3: Is it permissible for a man to be alone with his fiancée, and is it permissible for him to shake her hand?
A3: It is not permissible for a man to be alone with a woman who is not lawful for him, even if she is his fiancée, provided he has not contracted marriage with her; because he remains a stranger to her. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a man from being alone with a woman who is not lawful for him.
It is not permissible for him to shake her hand; because of the fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) involved in that, and because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not shake hands with women. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
