If his family refuses to marry him off, should he boycott them?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 3578 )
Q: I am a man aged 23, and I do not have a wife. I have many relatives, some of whom have no one to marry me off, and some of whom have mocked me whenever I proposed to them. I have not neglected the rights of any of them, and I am practicing all five pillars of Islam and avoiding sins such as intoxicants and others. I have never done anything that would compromise my honor. Is it permissible for me to boycott these relatives and marry a woman from any tribe other than that tribe?
A: Their preventing you from marrying their daughters does not make it permissible for you to boycott them. It is permissible for you to marry a woman from any tribe or from abroad. The criterion is the woman you marry; if she is a Muslim woman of good character, it is permissible to marry her.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
