Is it permissible for a woman to refuse marriage after the death of her husband?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 12712 )
Q2: Is it permissible for a woman to prevent herself from marrying after the death of her first husband or for a man to order his wife not to marry any man if he dies before her? Please inform us of the answer.
A2: It is not permissible for a woman to refrain from marrying after the death of her husband; because that is specific to the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and it is not permissible for her husband to prevent her from marrying after him, nor is she obligated to obey him in that if he does so, due to the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
Obedience is in matters which are good and universally recognized.إنما الطاعة في المعروف
Sunan Abi Dawud 2625Sahih (Al-Albani)
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
