Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa number ( 8663 )
Q5: An Egyptian school issued a ruling to its female students that if a man has married a woman and has children from a previous wife, it is not permissible for those children to perform Hajj with their father's current wife (their stepmother). To what extent is this correct?
A5: It is permissible for the adult, sane children of a husband to serve as mahram (a relative one may not marry) for their father's wife during travel, whether for Hajj or otherwise, whether she is their mother or a co-wife of their mother. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
