Fatwa number ( 21188 )
Q: If a husband asks his wife to come to the bed, is she allowed to offer any excuse, saying that she is performing night prayer and glorifying Allah, and saying: "I pray all night and glorify Allah"? Is this an excuse?
A: This is not an excuse; because the husband's right is obligatory, whereas voluntary night prayer and glorifying Allah are a recommended practice (sunnah), and the obligatory is prioritized over the recommended; due to the hadith: from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sahih al-Bukhari 3237 Agreed upon by al-Bukhari and Muslim. And in a narration: . And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

If a husband calls his wife to his bed (i.e. to have sexual relation) and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning.
