And peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.

The reader: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
He (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Chapter on the prohibition of a woman refusing her husband's bed when he calls her and she has no valid legal excuse:
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

If a husband calls his wife to his bed (i.e. to have sexual relation) and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning.

إذا دعا الرجل امرأته إلى فراشه فأبت، فبات غضبان عليها، لعنتها الملائكة حتى تصبح

Chapter on the prohibition of a woman fasting voluntarily while her husband is present, except with his permission:
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

It is not lawful for a lady to fast (Nawafil) without the permission of her husband when he is at home; and she should not allow anyone to enter his house except with his permission

لا يحل للمرأة أن تصوم وزوجها شاهد إلا بإذنه، ولا تأذن في بيته إلا بإذنه

The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful:
These two chapters were mentioned by al-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him) in his book *Riyad al-Salihin*: in explaining what is obligatory for a Muslim toward his brother:
And Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) has commanded kindness to the near neighbor, the distant neighbor, and the companion in bed. The companion in bed: it is said that this means the husband, and it is said that the companion in bed means the travel companion. So he mentioned the first hadith: that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: : And that is because it is obligatory for her, when a man calls her to his need, to respond to him, unless there is a valid legal excuse, such as if she is ill and unable to have intercourse with him, or if she has an excuse that prevents her from coming to his bed; in that case, there is no harm. Otherwise, it is obligatory for her to be present and to respond to him. And if this is the right of the husband over the wife, then likewise it is recommended for the husband, if he sees that his family wants to enjoy intimacy, that he should respond to them, so that he may treat her as she treats him.
