From the superstitions of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance regarding marriage

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 18622 )
Q 1: My grandmother visited the Noble Mosque of Makkah and heard from you there that a woman who has not borne children, or a girl who has not married—meaning: she has never been married before—must recite Surat al-Ikhlas over a pot of the Noble Mosque of Makkah , perfume her house and her body, and sleep, and then Allah will grant her children. Likewise, a woman who has not married, Allah will grant her the husband she desires. My married sister asks: I want to do this, but I am afraid. Is this correct? I hope you will answer with what is in the good.
A 1: What is mentioned in the question, namely that a woman does this in order to achieve childbirth or marriage, is all invalid and has no basis. It is from the superstitions of the pre-Islamic age of ignorance, and it is not permissible for a Muslim to believe in it or practice it. It is obligatory to rely upon Allah and supplicate to Him, and to seek treatment with permissible medicines to achieve childbirth according to doctors. Reciting Surat al-Ikhlas and other parts of the Qur'an is a good deed, but not in this manner. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
