The third question of Fatwa No. ( 6286 )
Q3: I have a brother who is about to marry a woman who displays her adornment. What is my duty toward him, and what do you advise him to do after he has proposed to her? And what is obligatory for me to do if musical instruments and singing are used inside the house to celebrate the wedding?
A3: You must advise him to marry a woman of faith, in accordance with the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Do not attend a wedding celebration in which musical instruments and singing are used, unless you are able to forbid what is wrong. If you are not able to do so, it is obligatory for you to avoid the wrong at the very least.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
