Q: I am a man who cannot drive a car, and none of my sons can drive it because of their young age, so I hired a foreign driver. Is it permissible for him to take my family, and what is the ruling of Islam in this matter? Please inform us, may Allah reward you with good.
A: It is not permissible for the driver to be in seclusion with women. If he wants to take one of the women, he must go with her accompanied by a mahram (a relative one may not marry) for her. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
