Delaying the Tawaf

Fatwa number ( 4368 )
Q: My wife and I performed Hajj last year, and on the way to Makkah she started menstruating, so she was unable to perform the arrival tawaf or sa'y. We were on the eighth of Dhu al-Hijjah, and she stood at 'Arafah while menstruating. Then she missed the stoning of the pillars, and she did not become pure until we left Makkah with the group we had arrived with. We could not stay behind to perform the tawaf of ifadhah and sa'y. After three months, we were able to visit the Sacred House again, where she performed tawaf and sa'y. Does this suffice for the tawaf of Hajj, making her Hajj valid? Note that during the period between Hajj and the second visit, she had exited her state of ihram. The reason for my confusion is that some say the tawaf of ifadhah is valid before the end of the lunar year, while others say it is valid for a lifetime. Does that mean a person remains in ihram for this entire duration?
A: If the matter is as you described, her Hajj is valid, but if
you had sexual intercourse with her before she performed the tawaf and sa'y for Hajj, she must sacrifice a sheep to be slaughtered in Makkah and distributed to the poor. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
