Ihram of the Menstruating Woman
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The sixth question of Fatwa No. ( 687 )
Q6: What is the ruling on the Hajj of a menstruating woman?
A6: Menstruation does not prevent one from performing Hajj. It is obligatory for a woman who enters the state of ihram while menstruating to perform the acts of Hajj, except that she does not perform tawaf (circumambulation) of the House until her menstruation stops and she performs ghusl (the full ritual bath). The same applies to a woman with post-natal bleeding. If she performs the pillars of Hajj
her Hajj is valid. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
