The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 9305 )
Q5: Is it permissible for me to place a number of copies of the noble Book of Allah in the name of the deceased brother and distribute them in the mosques? And will the reward be for me, or for the deceased, or for both? Which of the two has the greater reward?
A5: If it is from your own wealth, it is permissible, and you will have the reward for your work with sincerity. If it is from the deceased's estate, it is permissible with the consent of the heirs, and you and the deceased will have the reward according to the extent of your work with sincerity before Allah the Exalted. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
