Question 4: Fatwa No. ( 11638 )
Q4: What is the ruling on one who performs 'Umrah for his father after performing 'Umrah for himself, and he resumes his father's 'Umrah from the place of ihram in Makkah al-Mukarramah ( al-Tan'im ), is his 'Umrah valid or must he enter the state of ihram from the original miqat?
A4 : If you perform 'Umrah for yourself and then exit the state of ihram, and you wish to perform 'Umrah for your father, if he is deceased or unable to do so; then you must go out to the non-sacred area
such as al-Tan'im, and enter the state of ihram for 'Umrah from there, and it is not obligatory for you to travel to the miqat. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
