Fasting is not invalidated by inserting an examination device into the vagina
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa number (9881)
Q5: If a woman inserts her finger into the vagina for istinja' (cleaning oneself after relieving oneself), or to insert an ointment or pill for treatment, or after a gynecological examination where the doctor inserts her hand or an examination device, is it obligatory for the woman to perform ghusl (the full ritual bath)? And if this occurs during the day in Ramadan, does it break her fast and does she have to make it up?
A5: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions... After that: If what was mentioned occurs, it is not obligatory to perform ghusl for janabah (major ritual impurity), and it does not invalidate the fast.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
