Q: I feel that during the washing of the feet, or immediately after the ablution, or after a period following the ablution, something comes out through the urethra in the form of drops or droplets. This occurs as a sensation, as I mentioned. Then I look at the place, and sometimes I find the trace of a drop or more, and sometimes I find nothing. This happens because I am unable to control the urethra. I went to some doctors and they told me that this is a normal matter that is common among young men, and that it disappears after marriage, and some say such and such. I have not been able to get rid of it. What concerns me most is the ruling on prayer and the Shari'ah treatment of the matter, for I often repeat the ablution, but I have not found peace in that. Therefore, I am writing this letter to you, hoping that Allah has enabled you to understand what I am suffering from, and on that basis I ask you to issue a ruling for me, so that I may have a satisfactory answer. What is the action if that happens after the ablution, and what is the ruling regarding the underwear?
A: Praise be to Allah alone, and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. And after: Purification is half of faith. If a Muslim purifies himself and feels that something is coming out of him, then if he is certain that the state of ritual impurity has occurred, he repeats the ablution and washes the place of impurity from his body and clothes. If he is not certain, he does not pay attention to it,
and his prayer is valid; for in the two Sahihs there is the hadith of Abdullah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) who said:
A man complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he imagined he was finding something in the prayer. He said: Do not leave until he hears a sound or finds a wind.شكي إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم الرجل يخيل إليه أنه يجد الشيء في الصلاة، قال: لا ينصرف حتى يسمع صوتًا، أو يجد ريحًا
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
