Deep sleep is a place where the ablution is likely to be broken

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 3030 )
Q 1: Some people sleep in the mosque while they are reciting tasbih with prayer beads. Is it obligatory for them to renew their ablution before prayer?
A 1: Praise be to Allah alone, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, his family, and his Companions.. After that: Deep sleep is a place where the ablution is likely to be broken; so if a person sleeps a deep sleep in the mosque or elsewhere, it is obligatory for him to renew his ablution, whether he is standing, sitting, or lying down, and whether he has a prayer bead in his hand or not. As for if he is
not deeply asleep - like drowsiness in which one does not lose consciousness - then it is not obligatory for him to renew his ablution; because of the authentic hadiths that were reported in that regard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicating the detail mentioned. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
