The Call to the Two Festival Prayers

The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 1002 )
Q4: What is the opinion on using the microphone before the prayer of 'Id al-Fitr and 'Id al-Adha to invite Muslims to attend, and to inform them that it is an obligatory prayer, and that it consists of six takbirs?
A4: The guidance of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is that there is no call to the prayer of 'Id al-Fitr nor to the prayer of 'Id al-Adha before it; in order for them to attend the prayer ground, nor in order to inform them of the ruling of the prayer, and it is not permissible to do so, neither with a microphone nor otherwise; because their times are known, praise be to Allah, and Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Ahzab 33:21] It is incumbent upon those in authority, the rulers and scholars, to clarify to Muslims the ruling of this prayer before the day of the festival, and to clarify to them its manner, and what is required of them in it, both before and after it; so that they prepare to attend the prayer ground at its time, and perform it in its lawful manner.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.

There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.
