Q5: Is it permissible to take a wage for the Friday sermon or not?
A5: It is permissible for those in charge of the affairs of the mosque to take a salary for the mosque affairs they perform, whether they are imams, preachers
or mu'adhdhins, or caretakers; for performing a general Islamic obligation and engaging in public interests. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
